The Turkish flag flies from the back of a ferry pulling out of the Golden Horn - the ancient port of Constantinople / Istanbul. The New Mosque is ( 1663 ) is to the right.

The Kuleli Military School was the first military high school in Turkey, located on the Bosphorus. It was founded in 1845 by Sultan Abdulmecid I. Kaan Turkyilmaz, one of our hosts, graduated from here.
Beautiful traditional homes along the Bosphorus.
The Rumeli Hisari - or European Castle (aka as the "Throat Cutter.") This castle was built by the Ottomans in preparation for the final siege of Constantinople in 1453.
